Kickin’ it with Kale Juice

Kick back, relax, and drink in this juice that’s full of green goodness that you’re sure to love. Broccoli and kale, both members of the cabbage (Brassica) family, offer immense health benefits in the prevention of cancer, particularly breast, prostate and colon, and helps to enhance the function of the liver (your body’s fat burner!). The sweet pear packs in a high dose of soluble fiber and sweetens this juice right up. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 2 pears
  • ½ head of broccoli
  • 4 kale leaves
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 lime
  • 1 in (2.5 cm) piece of fresh ginger

Directions

  1. Wash all produce well.
  2. Peel the lime.
  3. Add all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!

  • Kale – spinach, swiss chard, lettuce
  • Celery – zucchini, celeriac root
