Editor’s Note: Janet has not only completed one 15-Day Guided Reboot, but she has participated in two in one year! She was inspired after watching Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 1 & 2 and decided to give juicing a try. She found her challenges during the Reboots, like giving up caffeine, but she was also finding huge successes along the way. From the two Reboots she lost 25 pounds, her energy has skyrocketed, and her skin is much clearer. One of her biggest triumphs is finally feeling in control of her life, her happiness and weight loss.

Guided Reboot Plan: Two 15-Day Guided Reboots
How did you learn about a Guided Reboot?
After watching Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead 1 and 2.
What inspired you to sign up for a Guided Reboot?
Joe Cross, his humanness, kindness, and gracious yet simple way to explain the truth about the ‘Fun Side’ of Town.
How did the experience go for you?
My first Reboot in April 2015 seemed to go a little easier than my November 4, 2015 one. I think in part due to my naivety. Ha! But, it was all positive as I was truly seeing results of healthy change almost immediately…from water weight loss, to increased energy, to a feeling of control (it’s easy to do — time consuming — but easy). As well, after my April Reboot with Abby, I was motivated to stick to mostly a plant-based diet.
Did you have any notable health or physical improvements (weight loss, lower cholesterol, etc)?
Yes! Energy boost; off of caffeine; skin looks better; weight loss (25 pounds between the two Reboots this year so far started at 263 and down to 237.6); it’s a feeling of hope that I can control my weight, my diet, my life.
What was the toughest part about the Guided Reboot experience?
The first one, getting off of caffeine (I was already dairy and wheat/gluten-free). The second Reboot, facing myself and the truth of being responsible. Taking charge of my health is solely up to me. And being disciplined to shop, prep, and make my juices.
What habits have you maintained and kept a part of your everyday life?
Putting on the mindset that weight is stored energy…and not being disgusted with myself or other overweight people, but having compassion on folks that just have a bad diet. I want to tell the world about the freedom I’m experiencing in my life it seems for the first time. I’ve been on diets since I was 10 years old. Joe Cross is the evangelist to good health in my opinion. Also, eating more veggies, juicing or having a veggie/fruit smoothie for a meal replacement.
What is your lasting impression of the Guided Reboot experience?
Gotta do it! At least once so that you feel like part of the movement and have someone to answer your questions, and give you “guidance”.
Who was your coach?
I had nicknames for them! Abby (Abba Zabba) was my April 2015 Coach and Stacy Kennedy, (Adorable Stac) was my Nov 2015 Coach.
