Today is National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day, and I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely celebrating. I can’t decide if I’ll celebrate with these No-Bake Mini Peanut Butter Cups or a Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie that tastes just like a milkshake, or maybe it’s just dipping my spoon into a jar of the creamy goodness and treating myself. No matter how you plan on recognizing this ‘holiday’, make sure your jar of peanut butter is made simply from “peanuts” and maybe a little sea salt. Many common brands on grocery store shelves contain additives you don’t need. Look out for added sugar, artificial sweeteners, hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, palm fruit oil, sunflower seed oil, etc. Peanuts and salt are all you need to have a delicious creamy treat. You can even make your own peanut butter right at home by replacing the almonds for peanuts in this delicious Maple Cinnamon Nut Butter Recipe.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, I’ve gathered the best peanut butter recipes out there. I have to admit, we have really delicious ones too (here are 9 no-bake peanut butter recipes), but it’s always fun to see what else is out there, so I’m sharing them with you here.
