How did you learn about Reboot with Joe?
After having two kids, my weight was higher than ever (about 170 lbs./77 kg). After my husband watched Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead he encouraged me to watch it. I wasn’t fully ready to commit to a change so I continued doing more research by watching Hungry for Change, Veguacted, Food Matters, etc. and ultimately I came back to Reboot with Joe.

What inspired you to do a Reboot?        
Health, weight loss and a great page on Facebook called Juicing Phenomenon. I got to the point where I had to borrow my mom’s pants and that was the last straw.

I made a life style change: I eliminated all processed foods, flour, sugar and meat from my diet (fruits vegetables seeds and nuts only). After about a month my weight plateaued…That’s when I decided to take it to the next level and Reboot. I used the recipes from the 15 day plan and went 27 days. I went from 150 lbs./68 kg to 135 lbs./61 kg. Thanks to all the support from Juicing Phenomenon and Reboot, it’s been a great journey

How did the experience go for you?
It was wonderful! My nails feel stronger and the hair on my temples has filled out some (it thins when I constantly wear ponytails). I have lots of energy. I know this may sound weird but I have less body odor. For example, I have little to no morning breath or under arm odor. Also, it’s easier to wake up in the morning, even on weekends, and I have no grogginess. And the best part of all … I feel great, healthy and on day 27 I was 15 lbs./7 kg lighter.

How much weight did you lose (even if that wasn’t your goal!)?
15 lbs./7 kg – from 150 lbs./68 kg to 135 lbs./61 kg!

Did you have any notable health or physical improvements?
Before I had mild menstrual cramping but now it’s gone. Also, I have more energy, alertness, clarity of thought and less body odor.

What was the toughest part about the Reboot experience?
The toughest part was Labor Day. I wanted to start on September 1st and there was so much temptation! Wonderful looking desserts, cake, BBQ and more…everyone kept saying just start tomorrow but I fought through it and made it till the end.

What habits have you maintained and kept a part of your everyday life?
I am refraining from white flour, refined sugars, meat, eggs and dairy…so I’m vegan plus (vegan and then some!).

What is your lasting impression of the Reboot experience?
I believe it was a great experience and it’s easy once you get out of the mind set of “I can’t have” and believe that you “can have”. This has been a wonderful journey that I continue to live every day.
